How do you continue you living when your best friend is dead and it's your fault? That's what Amy is faced with she has to somehow continue living with out Julia.
my thoughts:
This book made me miss my best friend i don't usually like to tie books into my personal life and i HATE over analyzing books but the whole time i was reading this i was thinking about my best friend and how much i miss her! In this story Amy remembers the good times she had with her best friend Julia and she writes letters to Julia sometimes remembering the past sometimes asking questions and some times realizing ugly truths.  The ending fit well with the story and i didn't hate it.
my rating:
9
I might not read this book again but i did love it and after finishing it I'm craving time with my best friend! i would recommend this book to any one that has a best friend.

GIRLS By: Lori Lansens

GIRLS by: Lori Lansens
start date: 12/13/2010
I finished GIRLS 1/1/11
My description:
This is Rose's story but it's also Ruby's story not everything that has happened to Rose has happened to Ruby but Ruby has been there from the very beginning and she will be there till the end. Rose and Ruby are sisters they are twins and they are Joined at the head. This is their story the story of Two sisters who have never been apart from each other but have lived two different lives.
My thoughts:
This is what i call a grown up book. In other words I didn't get it from the YA section where i get 98% of the books i read. It's written in two different but similar styles both are from the first person perspective Rose's bits are more what i call the adult style and it took me longer to get into her story then we hear from ruby she states that she is going to write to you (the reader) as her friend, so less like she is writing a book and more like she is telling a story. I'll admit i was interested in the book but it wasn't till i got to ruby's first part that i really got into the story but after that i was on a fact finding mission. the ending i've said it before and i will say it again i hate most endings! so my opinion on them is usually not fair to the author this one ended well my first thought when i finished was that there were so many lose ends that could have been tied up but i read another book before i got to posting about this one and now thinking back i actually like the way this one ended.
my rating:
8
I'm giving GIRLS and 8 only because it's not the type of book i would read again and there are not many people in my life that i automatically think hey you would love this book. my recommendation if you have any interest in conjoined twins then you should read this book though it is fiction it's believable and a good read.

AFTER by: Amy Efaw

AFTER by: Amy Efaw
start date:12/9/2010
I finished AFTER Late last night 12/13/2010
my description :
This book tells a story starting some where in the middle working it's way to the beginning and the end through a serious of flash backs and present time thoughts of one Devon Davenport. 15 year old honor students and talented soccer player she is also the mother who threw away her new born baby. while reading this book your given the chance to get into Devon's head and try to understand how it was possible for her to throw away her baby.
my thoughts :
this story is told with detail and it's believable but
if your like me and you have troubles with endings as in you always want more, then you might agree that this book could have ended latter in the story or at least had an epilogue but when faced with reality (not everyone likes to read 500+ paged books) the ending doesn't necessarily conclude the story but it gives you that age old let the reader decided where it goes from here ending.
my rating:
8
I would recommend this book to any one that likes young adult fiction

And so it begins!

so... I'm 22 today and i've decided to stat a blog I'm not sure where i am going with this but i do know that i want to list the books i read from this day forth and i may at some point make a list of my favorite books as well. If you have any book suggestions fill free to share them!

*Edit* I've decided to include my rating at the end of each review ( for lack of better word)
here is what i think you should know about any rating that i give I'm odd in a way that if i had to rate a book 1-10 one being bad ten being great i would rate most books an 8 because i like almost all the books I read. I don't know how else to do this so here is a little key to understand my ratings
1- I did not like this book and i probably didn't finish it
2- meh.. i finished the book but i didn't like it.
3- I don't like so if i rate a book 3 i must not like it either
4- is a good number a book with this rating would be okay
5- is the middle which probably means i didn't like it but i didn't hate it
6- I probably didn't know what i thought but i didn't hate it so guess it's good
7- means it was good not amazing but good
8- is my lucky number! i like most of the books i read so most of them will end up with an 8
9- I might not read it again but i really loved this book
10- I absolutely LOVE this book i will read it again and again and then again!
10+ would be a book i have already read a million times and plan to read a million more!
